Hugues' parents Francois and Mireille de la Plaza are here in San Francisco to offer a $100,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction in the case of Hugues' murder. Their 36-year-old son, who had French and American citizenship, was stabbed to death in his Hayes Valley apartment on June 2, 2007.
The De la Plazas are not rich. They are working class people. The reward money is Hugues' life insurance.
